Trick or Treat

Halloween is my favorite holiday.  It is just fun!  I love the color combinations, decorations, costumes, and of course candy!!!!!!  At school I decorate up big time.  I have animated bats, spiders, and a broom.  We do a Halloween count down.  You get the idea.  I go overboard!  At home I decorate the mantle in my stamping room.  Unfortunately I do not get many trick or treaters- under ten.  Oh well, I still have fun.  This is another Framelet card- the oval.  I did extend the right hand side.  It is easy to do.  Before you put this through the Big Shot, pick up the right side of your paper and feed it over and on top of the right hand side of the framelit so it does not get cut.  When you run it through the Big Shot it will add a crease line which makes folding it in much easier.   I have also found that if you are careful, you can use half a sheet of paper- 5-1/2" by 8-1/2".

Supplies:
Stamp Sets- Halloween Bash and Tags 4 You
Paper- Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie, WW, Witches' Brew DSP
Ink- Stazon Black, Pumpkin Pie, Real Red (on the spiders' backs)
Accessories- Thinlits Oval Card, Stampin' Dimensionals

Thoughts and Prayers

Unfortunately one of my colleagues just lost her father.  One thing I took comfort from when my own father died was the number of cards I received from friends and acquaintances.  They really made a difference.  I checked SplitcoastStampers for inspiration and found a card by Dawn Olchefske.  I added more butterflies, changed the sentiment, and for the background sponged an oval instead of using a clear block inked up. I hope she finds some peace during this difficult time.

Clena & Simple Part 2

I love layers and could not resist stepping the last card up a notch or two!  Same basic card but I used the Woodgrain Embossing Folder with Crumb Cake to add texture to the card.  I also layered both leaves with their corresponding card stock.

Added Supplies:
Paper- Crushed Curry, Tangerine Tango
Accessories- Bigz Autumn Accents Die, Woodgrain Embossing Folder

Clean & Simple Stamping 258

This is Friday, September 13th's Clean& Simple Sketch.  I am finding that these weekly challenges are helping me get back my mojo and I am stamping more for me- not just preparing for a class or workshop (I still like doing these!).  I actually look forward to stamping time after dinner now and am not in my comfy chair reading.

And here is my Clean and Simple card!  I used the stamps from Wonderfall and DSP scraps left over from Friday's card.  The sentiment is from Gifts of Kindness.
I used Crush Curry and Tangerine Tango for each leaf and Chocolate Chip and Old Olive for the acorn.
Supplies:
Stamp Sets- Wonderfall, Gifts of Kindness
Paper- Very Vanilla, Sweater Weather DSP
Ink- Crushed Curry, Tangerine Tango
Accessories- Old Olive and Chocolate Chip markers
