Tags 4 You- Christmas

I found a new sketch on Techno Stamper blog which was my inspiration.  I had not used the Winter Frost DSP Stack and decided there was no time like the present!  After comparing all the blues, I was able to determine that Pool Party was the color.  I paired it with Brushed Silver and my card came together.

Supplies:
Stamp Set- Tags 4 You
Paper- Pool Party, Brushed Silver, Winter Frost DSP Stack
Ink- Pool Party
Accessories- Label Bracket Punch

Clean & Simple Stamping Challenge FTL 264- An Oldie but Goodie!

I have been thinking of this challenge all weekend.  When I decided to get down to business and stamp, I found this little bird bath already stamped and colored.  Since today in central New Hampshire has been cold and overcast- a peek as to what is coming, I decided I needed a little happy and went from there.  Daffodil Delight and Pacific Point go so well together.  They gave the pop of color that I wanted.  The sketch suggests (I love how you do not have to do it exactly) 2 rows of ribbon but I decided I wanted DSP and then a scalloped layer underneath.  I put everything together and got "a little happy" to brighten my day.

 Supplies:
Stamp Set- Touch of Kindness (retired)
Paper- WW, Daffodil Delight, Pacific Point, Brights Color
     Collection DSP Stacks
 Ink- Black Stazon
Accessories- Watercolor Pencils, Blender Pen,  Scallop Edge                                                                      Border Punch

My Display

My local bank has a Generation Gold Program where members can get discounts from local businesses.  I signed up as a Stampin' Up! demonstrator offering a free catalog and 20% discount off the first order of $50 or more placed directly with me and not an online order.  I was asked to make a display for the main branch.  Here it is.  So if you happen to be in Meredith, New Hampshire head over to the main branch of the Meredith Village Savings Bank and see my display.

Technostamper Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge 285

Boy, this was a tough challenge.  At first glance it looks pretty simple but when I started creating, it became apparent that it truly was a challenge.  I did not want to use flowers or snowflakes to cascade down the card.  Then I thought of butterflies.  Butterflies would not look right just falling.  I thought of the floral embossing folder and the card began to come together!  It was too plain to use colored card stock so I tried DSP.  I think it works!

Supplies:
Stamp Set: Teeny Tiny Wishes
Paper- WW, Blushing Bride, Subtles Color Collection DSP Stacks
Ink- Blushing Bride
Accessories- Pearls, Flower Garden Embossing Folder, Bitty Butterfly Punch

Clean & Simple Stamping 263!

When I received the stamp set Gorgeous Grunge at Convention I did not like it at all.  It clearly was not "my style".  However, I find I am beginning to use it and feel it adds a lot.  For this challenge I used Festive Flurry stamped it in silver.  I layered two together using a dimensional then topped it with a Frosted Finishes Embellishment.  For the sentiment I used Merry Christmas from Teeny Tiny Wishes (a wonderful and highly used stamp set!).

Supplies:
Stamp Sets- Festive Flurry, Gorgeous Grunge, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Ink- Encore Ultimate Metallic Silver
Papers- WW, Silver
Accessories- Festive Flurry Framelits Dies, Frosted Finishes Embellishments

Happy Halloween

You know I love Halloween.  I wear Halloween clothing and even have Halloween themed socks. I decided to decorate the mantle in my stamping studio to reflect my interest in this fun holiday.  After finishing it I realized I had a Christmas print which I leave up year round.  What was wrong with the picture???? I was able to find a Charles Wysocki print on sale (signed limited edition print) and  got Pumpkin Hollow for free!  What a deal!  I won't say how much it cost to get my free print framed (my husband questioned my sanity which he rarely does when he found out).  Oh well....  I love sitting in my comfy chair looking at all of my fun decorations.
I will have to get someone to take a picture of my nails and post them too.  They are over the top and I bet you can guess what the theme is!

Fab Friday 28

The new Photopolymer Stamp Set- Bite Me arrived last week and by the time school got out on Friday I was very anxious to play.  Using the colors from this challenge- Old Olive, Rich Razzleberry, Tangerine Tango, and Basic Black I got to work.  I had hoped that Illuminate Ink would work for the web but it was not dark enough so I used White Craft Ink.  I stamped the spider in black then bubble cut it so it would stand out.  Of course I needed a Halloween sentiment so I chose "Trick or Treat."  I matted it in Old Olive then used Rich Razzleberry as the card base.  I am accumulating quite a few Halloween cards this year.  I guess I should start sending them out!

Supplies:
Stamp Set- Bite Me
Paper-  Old Olive, Rich Razzleberry, Tangerine Tango, Basic Black
Ink- Black Stazon, Rich Razzleberry, White Craft

Mojo Monday 313

I don't often think outside the box.  When I first saw this sketch all I could think of was hanging Christmas ornaments.  I wanted something different.  After much contemplation, I thought of spiders coming down on their spinnerets.  But what could they come down from?  That's when I thought of a tree branch.  Do you recognize it?  It is the pine tree from Lovely As a Tree. The sentiment is from Tags 4 You, trimmed to the black border then matted on Tangerine Tango.
Supplies:
Stamp Sets- Lovely As a Tree, Bite Me, Tags 4 You
Paper- Whisper White, Rich Razzleberry, Tangerine Tango, Old Olive
Ink- Old Olive,  Black Stazon
Accessories- Label Bracket Punch

Halloween Banner

This was the first item I purchased from the Holiday Mini Catalog.  It was so much fun to make.  I has been up and on display since August!  I did find that using a spray adhesive on the back of the stencils was crucial or bleeding occurred as I sponged on the ink.  I have also heard that Sponge Daubers work better than sponges.  I have yet to check this out. My next project is to use the Halloween Banner Simply Created Accessory Kit to make a wreath.  Check back this weekend to see my progress.

Halloween Easel Card

This was one of my special swaps I created for Convention.  I joined a holiday swap and knew I had to make a Halloween card.  Don't get me wrong.  I love Christmas and making Christmas cards, but Halloween is just fun.  There is still plenty of time to begin making Christmas cards.
I wanted a frame but unfortunately did not have a die or punch the right size to frame Celebrate a Creepy Crawly Halloween.  Instead I used the scallop square die (retired-shucks!) and pieced the frame together.  Once you get the hang of it, each frame gets easier and easier.  I don't usually use glitter but this card screamed for it.  You can see the battery operated tea light behind the vellum.  I am not sure how I will mail this but I know I will come up with something!

Supplies:
Stamp Sets- Halloween Bash, Seasonal Sayings
Paper- Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie, Witches' Brew DSP, Vellum
Ink- Stazon Black
Accessories- Orange Glitter, Heat and Stick, tea light
