Fab Friday 26- a week late!

This week's challenge (actually posted on Friday, September 6, 2013) is pulled straight from the Sweater Weather DSP.  Using the color Soft Sky really was the challenge for me!  It has taken me a week to pull this card together.  I did not have a current "leaf" stamp set so I used Autumn Splendor.  I colored in the leaves and acorns using markers then used a blender pen.  Next I matted the DSP and layered everything.

                                     Supplies:
Stamp Set- Autumn Splendor
Paper-  Soft Sky, Tangerine Tango, Sweater Weather DSP
   Accessories-  Markers, Blender Pen

Magnetic Platform Available to Order!!!!

Demand for this new Magnetic Platform was so great it sold out in just a few weeks.  It has been unavailable until today!  Yeah!!!!  I ordered it when it was first released and am so glad I did.  It really holds Framelits in place and there is no longer the need to use tape to secure the the Framelit in place.  This is definitely a wonderful and necessary tool that I wish I had been creative enough to have invented.

Six-Sided Sampler

This was another Convention swap.  It was a break away from my usual style. Each stamp's position is not perfect.  I did not use my Stamp-a-ma-jig!- I just eye balled it!

Supplies:
Stamp Set- Six-Sided Sampler
Paper- WW, Basic Black
Ink- Real Red, Black Stazon, Metallic Encore Silver (in Holiday Mini)
Accessories- Hexagon Punch, Stampin' Dimensionals

Gifts of Kindness

This was one of my Convention swaps.  It was a fairly easy card to put together.  Using markers, I colored the leaves and stems with Gumball Green then went back and colored the flowers using Midnight Muse.   Midnight Muse and Gumball Green compliment each other so well that they have become one of my favorite color combinations.  I stamped the largest flower again, cut it out, curled the edges, and mounted it using a dimensional.  I added two pearls for more texture.  Instead of attaching ribbon and tying a bow, I opted for just a single layer of ribbon with the sentiment on top.

Supplies:
Stamp Sets- Gifts of Kindness, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Paper- WW, Midnight Muse
Ink- Midnight Muse, Gumball Green (markers)
Accessories- 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon in Midnight Muse, Pearls, Modern Label and Word Window Punches, Stampin" Dimensionals

D is for Dog (retired)

My mom asked me to make a bereavement card for a couple who just lost their dog.  Mom is now living in a gorgeous independent living "Club" where all of her neighbors are so kind and friendly.  Several dogs also reside there and are loved by all.  Of course I agreed.  Stampin' Up! retired this set several years ago ( I am still waiting for another nice dog set).  I found a stash of non-Stampin' Up! paper and thought the words were so appropriate.  My card base was Chocolate Chip with Cajun Craze mounted on top.  Next was the patterned paper.  I stamped the dog in Chocolate Chip as well as the sentiment.

Supplies:
Stamp Set- D is for Dog, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Card Stock- Chocolate Chip, Cajun Craze, Very Vanilla, other
Ink- Chocolate Chip
Accessories- Word Window and Modern Label punches, brad

PS- Mom got a lovely thank you note for the beautiful hand made card.  They were most appreciative that she acknowledged their loss.
