I do most of my stamping on weekends which is why I am just getting around to posting this card which is based on September 23's sketch. In the sketch, the stamped object on the narrow strip of paper was supposed to be on a circle. Now I have a confession to make. It was on a circle but when I punched it out, there was a small portion that did not get punched out. I kept trying to trim it to retain the circular shape but to no avail. It was at that point I gave up, traced around the leaf with Sahara Sand and cut it out. Such is life! I liked the sentiment better on the narrow strip so that is where it was stamped. These challenges are just that- a challenge or starting point. The rules are not cast in stone and there is something that can be said about one's own creativity!
Supplies:
Stamp Sets- Autumn Splendor, Sincere Salutations (both retired)
Paper- Soft Sky, Chocolate Chip, Watercolor Paper, Sweater Weather DSP
Ink- Chocolate Chip, Tangerine Tango, So Saffron, Cajun Craze, Soft Suede
Accessories- Blender Pen
Technique- Marker Layering (see SplitcoastStampers 09/11/2013)

Everyday Occasions Cardmaking Kit-New!
Wow! What a great idea. Stampin' Up! has done it again with a complete card making kit. There are enough supplies and materials to create 20 cards for just about any occasion. Perfect for the new stamper or someone who needs a card in a hurry. Certainly faster than running out and getting a card and cheaper too- about $1.50 per card. Now that is a bargain. I think it would make a lovely gift.

A Fall Card Using the Marker Layering Techniques
I usually do not completely CASE (Copy and Share Everything) someone else's card but this card was so spectacular- the design, colors, everything, I had to make it. The original card was by Missy Shipman from Syracuse, NY.
It is another Framelit Card that has been extended. For the leaf, I used the Marker Layer technique featured in the September 11, 2013 Splitcoaststampers Weekly Inkling. I substituted the stamp set, sentiment and button. It was fun to make and I am pleased with the final product.
Supplies:
Stamp Sets- Autumn Splendor (retired), Gifts of Kindness
Paper- Crushed Curry, Watercolor Paper, Sweater Weather DSP
Ink- Stazon Black
Accessories- Soft Suede, Crushed Curry, Tangerine Tango, and Cajun Craze markers, Blender Pen

Thoughts and Prayers
Unfortunately one of my colleagues just lost her father. One thing I took comfort from when my own father died was the number of cards I received from friends and acquaintances. They really made a difference. I checked SplitcoastStampers for inspiration and found a card by Dawn Olchefske. I added more butterflies, changed the sentiment, and for the background sponged an oval instead of using a clear block inked up. I hope she finds some peace during this difficult time.
